There is no easy way to do it. Digitizer and resisitve touchscreen are two completely different technologies. Much easier is to sell digitizer version and buy touchscreen version. Second letter in serial number will tell you: CF-18XDXXXX - with digitizer, CF-18XHXXXX - touchscreen.

Thanks for your quick responce. How do I turn it into a screen that you can use your finger. We have 4 CF18's at work and all of them have this ability. Do I need to change the screen or is there another way. Thanks You once again

Peter,
Usually models with digitizers come with Windows XP Tablet. Tablet version recognizes digitizer during the initial setup automatically. For Windows XP try to use "Install hardware automatically option". Meanwhile I'll try to find compatible drivers for Wacom digitizer.

Victor,
If your digitizer works with stylus you don't need any additional drivers. The digitizer works ony with stylus, you can't use your finger.

I have a CF-19 mk3 (CF-19KDRAXCM). After I've installed XP Pro SP3 I can't get the touchscreen to work at all (finger or stylus). Which driver I should use?

Thank you both for your fast response! Thorp I've tried tapping the screen but that's about it. Is there anything special I need to do? I assume it's not currently loaded b/c it's not showing up in my Windows Control Panel (running Vista Ultimate).

Brian,
Your model is equipped with resistive touchscreen. It can be operated with both stylus and your finger. Have you tried your touchscreen feature?
Here is the article explaining letters in the model code: http://toughbookcentral.com/decoding-panasonic-cf-18-model-number

You have only touchscreen the H is the screen type. You need to load drivers from panasonic. It will help if you have XP Pro. you can just update drivers. You can't run XP Tablet with Touchscreen it will shut it down, it only works with digitizer types.
